Each year we take more and more equipment on holiday. Zoover asked her visitors what we take on holiday. The responses show that the laptop and tablet are popular equipment on holiday. But they are not the most popular items for holiday entertainment.
Nearly half of all holidaymakers take laptop or tablet on holidays
This year, nearly 50% of all holidaymakers take a laptop or a tablet on holidays. 25% of all holidaymakers take the “old” laptop, almost as many tourists go for the lighter tablet computer. The popularity of laptops and tablets also increases the demands we have for our accommodation. For almost 75% of all holidaymakers internet access is very important when booking an accommodation. More than 60% wants to have WIFI access in the whole area. 30% is satisfied with a central access point. For only 4% mobile Internet is sufficient.
Book still popular during holidays
Books are still very popular, 62% of all holidaymakers take 2-3 books on holiday. As a result of the emergence of the e-reader, we take more books than ever, an average of 9 books. For almost 50% of the respondents, magazines and puzzle books are also important on holiday. Old-fashioned board games are also still popular on holiday, for about 40% of all holidaymakers. Modern games are a lot less popular, with only 6%. An Mp3 player or an iPod is important for 24% of all holidaymakers.
Sudoku most popular puzzle book
With 40% Sudoku is the most popular puzzle book on holiday, followed by crossword puzzles. Cryptograms are not popular for holidays; only 4% takes this puzzle on holiday.
